Guys & Dolls
Tuesday 24 – Saturday 28 February 2015
Winner of numerous Tony and Olivier Awards over the past 60 years, ‘Guys and Dolls’ tells the story of a group of New York gamblers and the ladies in their lives. Sky Masterson and Nathan Detroit can’t resist making or taking a bet on anything, so when a beautiful missionary, Sarah Brown, sets up shop in the neighborhood, Nathan stakes a grand that Sky can’t seduce her. But all bets are off when Sky falls madly in love with her, and the stage is set for an evening of high-spirited entertainment!
Set to the toe-tapping beat of Frank Loesser’s score, award-winning caods returns to the Civic Theatre with this musical comedy featuring classic songs such as ‘Luck Be Lady’, ‘Sit Down You’re Rocking The Boat’, ‘Adelaide’s Lament’, ‘I’ve Never Been In Love Before’, ‘If I Were A Bell’ and, the wonderful title song, ‘Guys and Dolls’. Great entertainment for all the family!
