Con man Harold Hill rolls into River City, Iowa with a bunch of tricks up his sleeve. He convinces the town to fund a boys’ band to keep them out of trouble. However, the unconventional town librarian, Marian, doubts his story and turns him down when he attempts to woo her – causing him to try even harder.
