Blithe Spirit
3 – 8 November 1952, Regent Theatre Chelmsford
Noel Coward’s comic play concerns Charles Condomine who needs material for a new book. He turns to an eccentric medium, Madam Arcati, to hold a séance. However, this backfires as the ghost of his first wife, Elvira, will not leave the house and torments both Charles and his new wife Ruth. Elvira does not want Charles to be happy and begins a campaign to torment them both and bring Charles over to the other side.
