The story follows the Cotton Blossom Mississippi showboat over 40 years as the performers, stagehands and dockhands as they deal with racial prejudice and tragic love. The musical contributed such classic songs as “Ol’ Man River”, “Make Believe”, and “Can’t Help Lovin’ Dat Man”.
