Based on the novel Kipps by H.G. Wells this musical shot star Tommy Steele to fame. Arthur Kipps is an apprentice draper and is deeply in love with his childhood sweetheart who is in service, Ann. As they don’t get to see each other very often they half a sixpence so they can always remember each other. When he finds out that he has inherited a fortune! Will his love to Ann survive his change in fortunes or will his head be turned?
