Based on the novel The Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens this musical takes us back to 1828 where wealthy Samuel Pickwick and his valet, Sam, have been held in a debtors’ prison and they are recalling the adventures that got them there. The well-known song “If I Ruled The World” comes from this musical.
