Based on the hugely successful film starring Jack Nicholson, this musical comedy centres around the small New England community of Eastwick. One stormy night, three divorcees, ‘the witches’, frustrated by the constant scrutiny and disapproval of their buttoned-up neighbours, fantasize about their ideal man. This shared longing and desire for ‘‘all manner of a man in one man’’ comes to life in the form of Darryl Van Horne, who arrives in the neighbourhood, scandalising the town by seducing each woman in turn and initiating them in the power of magic. As these powers become more sinister and events spiral out of control, Alex, Sukie and Jane come to realise that Darryl’s influence is corrupting everyone he comes into contact with and resolve to use their new-found strength to exile him from their lives.

After the success of their recent productions ‘Crazy for You’ and ‘Annie’, caods is delighted to return with the premiere of this musical to the Civic Theatre and to Chelmsford City. With special effects and flying witches, it is, in every sense, a truly magical show!
