Hot Mikado
27 September – 3 October 2003, Civic Theatre Chelmsford
This uproarious comedy based on the classic Gilbert and Sullivan operetta explodes onto the stage full of swing and jazz music. The minstrel Nanki-Poo is desperate to marry the girls of his dreams, Yum-Yum, and agrees to be beheaded after only a month of wedded bliss so that Yum-Yum’s guardian can claim her as his bride. With the sinister Katisha also having set her sights on Nanki-Poo will love ever prevail in the town of Titipu?
